I open my eyes to stark featureless plains. out beyond the horizon is tumult, yet far away from here. Nay perhaps behind and in front and too the sides does tumult rise. yet it is quiet with waves of grasses dancing in the wind. it is quiet, and morning sun warms the heart. yet here there is not much here. out, out beyond the horizon is much. beauties that please the eye, and delicacies which please the tongue. in the midst of a carnival of pleasures does one long for the ever quiet, of the open featureless plains. Times have been very hard recently. I am overcome with restlessness to want to learn more to study and do more, but motivation seems to have taken a vacation. I've been walking everywhere No car anymore and getting another one seems unlikely at best. my computer a stalwart and a beast for many years seems to either have a hiccup bad gas or is on its last legs. If I turn it off I am faced with the prospect that if I can't get it work it might not come on again. luckily this morning I got it on, but every time this happens I dread the prospect of it not being able to work again. the month has been especially difficult being in need of
